What are All-On-4s?
If you have an ill-fitting denture, it’s time to consider the benefits of all-on-4s. The all-on-4 procedure involves placing four strategically planned implants that are meant to hold an entire denture place firmly in place. These implants are placed at different angles around the jaw and are meant to stay firmly in place. Implants can last for several decades or longer, so you’ll always have a perfectly fitting denture.
Why are All-On-4s needed?
You may want or even need all-on-4s if you have a denture that is uncomfortable or slips throughout the day. If you find yourself using creams and adhesive strips more often than not, it might be time to consider the all-on-4 procedure. This particular process keeps the denture firmly in place by snapped or clipping onto the actual implants. Because only four implants are needed, the surgery is quick and the implants healed in just a few short months.

Who’s a Good Candidate for All-On-4s?
You should be healthy enough to undergo oral surgery. Oftentimes, we will recommend general sedation for the all-on-4 procedure because four implants are needed to complete the surgery. We will go over your medical and health history to ensure you’re healthy enough for surgery. The majority of patients who want and are interested in all-on-4s can safely have the surgery done.
What happens during the procedure for All-On-4s?
We begin the all-on-4 process with an exam and a series of x-ray images. These images are used to create a special plan just for you so that we know exactly where to place the implants. The surgery involves making small incisions through the gum line and placing the implants deep into the bone. Over the course of a few months, these implants will fuse naturally with your bone and you’ll come back in to have a new denture made. The denture will then snap or clip into place and can be removed for cleaning.
